Splose https://splose.com/ have posted a new blog article covering the National Press Club address by Minister for Health, Disability and Ageing Mark Butler and the release of the Government's Securing the NDIS for future generations plan and the significant structural reset of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Their article outlines some of the proposed changes and how they are focussed around the governments 4 key outcomes of:

  1. Fighting fraud and stopping rorts

  2. Slowing rapid cost increases

  3. Clearer eligibility requirements

  4. Delivering quality services and support to participants

Its an excellent post and to quote it verbatim "For Allied Health providers, the implications stretch well beyond potential pricing changes. The plan signals a coordinated overhaul of eligibility, planning, payments, registration, third-party intermediation, participant budget categories, and the boundary between NDIS-funded and commissioned services. The details of how each of these commitments translates into operational rules will be released in stages over the coming months and years, and several material questions remain unanswered today"
