AHTR Allied health treatment request SIRA

The post information is directly from ICAREs recent Allied Health Connect e-newsletter for allied health providers delivering services within the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.

A new form for requesting allied health treatment approval

The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) recently introduced the Allied Health Treatment Request (AHTR), which replaces the previous Allied Health Recovery Request (AHRR).

Using the new AHTR form

This new form is to be used by providers when communicating and seeking approval from Claims Service Providers (CSPs), also known as insurers, for allied health treatment and care under the NSW personal injury schemes, including workers' compensation and motor accident schemes.

Phasing out the AHRR form December 2024

To allow everyone time to get used to using the new form, there will be a transition period to Sunday, 15 December 2024. After this date, only the AHTR will be accepted for approval requests from insurers.
